Stanley H. Mathis Foundation
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Stanley H. Mathis Foundation was created in 1976 to foster high-quality educational opportunities for New Mexico REALTORS®. Seeing the need for professional education for REALTORS®, the Foundation began offering courses on a wide range of topics, including New Mexico real estate law, agency, code of ethics and more. Over time the role of the Foundation has evolved from direct course delivery to supporting a broad base of educational opportunities.
If you are a REALTOR® in good standing with the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico, you are automatically a member of the Stanley H. Mathis Foundation. We are always looking for members to serve as trustees or participate on various committees that provide innovative ideas to make our foundation grow and prosper.
Recent Accomplishments
RANM Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI)
The GRI Rewrite Project has been completed with a $25,000 grant from the Stanley H. Mathis Foundation. The GRI core courses were last updated in 1994. New Mexico REALTORS® will continue to receive the most professional, up-to-date information available in these six core courses.
Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS® (GAAR)
The GAAR Leadership Program was supported with a $2,050 grant from the Foundation. Funds were used for scholarships, seminar costs and transportation to the Roundhouse. Over twenty REALTORS® from New Mexico graduated from the four week program and are bringing a new level of professionalism to the communities they serve.
Santa Fe Association of REALTORS® (SFAR)
The Senior Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) class was offered September 30th - October 1, 2010 and was made possible with a $4,000 grant from the Stanley H. Mathis Foundation. In addition three $250.00 scholarships were distributed.
