New Mexico Real Estate Education Foundation

New Mexico Real Estate Education Foundation (NMREEF)

The New Mexico Real Estate Education Foundation (NMREEF) — formerly the Stanley H. Mathis Foundation — was established in 1976 as a subsidiary of the New Mexico Association of REALTORS® (NMAR). Operating under its own Bylaws and guided by a dedicated Board of Trustees, NMREEF is driven by a clear purpose: to invest in education that elevates New Mexico’s real estate professionals and strengthens the real estate industry as a whole.

Education is the foundation of excellence in real estate. That’s why NMREEF focuses on expanding access to high-quality learning opportunities that empower REALTORS® to grow their skills, serve their clients, and lead with integrity. By supporting education, NMREEF helps shape a stronger, more knowledgeable real estate community — one that benefits every market, neighborhood, and New Mexican.

NMREEF provides grants to local REALTOR® Associations, colleges and universities, and organizations that offer training and professional development for real estate professionals.

Please note: NMREEF does not offer assistance with obtaining a real estate license and does not provide grants to individual REALTORS®.

If you’re a REALTOR® in good standing with the New Mexico Association of REALTORS®, you’re already a proud member of NMREEF!

What We Support

Through our grants, NMREEF helps fund:

  • Educational events, workshops, and speakers hosted by local Associations
  • Core Instructor and Professional Standards/Ombuds training
  • Specialty programs for rural areas and unique community needs
  • Courses on marketing, technology, and business development
  • Partnerships with higher education institutions that offer real estate-related learning opportunities

Together, we’re building a future where New Mexico’s REALTORS® are leaders in knowledge, professionalism, and service — helping our state’s real estate industry thrive for generations to come.
